  يتابع كل من الإتحاد الوطني لطلبة الكويت - فرع أمريكا و السفارة
الكويتية في واشنطن دي سي عن قرب التطورات حول حمى الخنازير التي بدأت
بالانتشار في أنحاء العالم خلال الأيام الماضية و التي أودت بحياة أكثر
من 100 شخص في المكسيك. و قد صرحت الجهات الرسمية في الولايات المتحدة عن
اكتشاف 40 حالة على الأقل في الولايات المتحدة منتشرة في نيويورك و
أوهايو و كانساس و تكساس و كاليفورنيا.

و بهذه المناسبة بودنا إخطاركم بالآتي:

- الرجاء قراءة التعليمات الموضحة أدناه لتجنب الإصابة بالفيروس.
- الرجاء متابعة المستجدات و التعليمات من الجهات الرسمية القريبة من
محل الإقامة.

   أؤشرات ئ أعراض اءأرض
و هي شبيهة بالأعراض المعتادة للحمى و هي كالتالي:

- ارتفاع درجة الحرارة لأكثر من 37.8 سيليزية
- التهاب البلاعيم
- انسداد الأنف أو الزكام
- برودة
- صداع
- إرهاق شديد
- مشاكل في المعدة

اءحأج أعدحة فتئخج اءحذر  عؤ طرحق اتباع اءتعءحأات اءتاءحة:
- قم بتغطية الأنف و الفم بمنديل في حال العطس أو الكحة و بعدها ارمي
المنديل في القمامة.
- اغسل يدك بالماء و الصابون باستمرار و خصوصا بعد العطاس أو الكحة. كما
أن المعقمات مؤثرة في هذا الجانب.
- تجنب التقرب من المرضى
- في حال حدوث أعراض المرض أو إصابتك بحمى فيجب البقاء في المنزل و عدم
الذهاب إلى العمل أو الجامعة لمدة 7 أيام لتتجنب التقرب من أشخاص آخرين.
- تجنب لمس العينين و الفم و الأنف فالميكروبات تنتشر بهذه الطريقة.

في حال ارتفعت درجة حرارتك إلى أكثر من 37.8 سيليزية أو أكثر من 100
فهرنهايت  قم بالاتصال فورا بالمركز الصحي في الجامعة لتعرف إن كنت تحتاج
إلى علاج فوري.

  NUKS-USA and the Kuwaiti Embassy in Washington D.C. are paying
close attention to growing concerns about the international swine flu
outbreak that has killed more than 100 people in Mexico. U.S.
officials have reported at least 40 cases of the flu spreading to
humans in New York, Ohio, Kansas, Texas, and California.

   

  _- PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE PRECATIONS DESCRIBED BELOW TO

   SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS

  The signs and symptoms of swine flu are similar to other flu
symptoms and include:

  ~Fever (greater than 100°F or 37.8°C) 

  ~Sore throat 

  ~Dry Cough 

  ~Runny or stuffy nose 

  ~Chills 

  ~Headache

  ~Body aches 

  ~Extreme tiredness

  ~Stomach symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, also can
occur but are more common in children than adults

  This particular strain of swine flu is highly contagious. There is
no vaccine available to protect against swine flu.

   

  _THE CDC PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES TO HELP PREVENT THE
SPREAD OF GERMS THAT CAUSE RESPIRATORY ILLNESSES LIKE INFLUENZA._

  ~Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it. 

  ~Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you
cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.

  ~Try to avoid close contact with sick people.

  ~If you get sick with influenza, CDC recommends that you stay home
from work or school for at least seven days after the onset of
symptoms, and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them. 

  Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.

   

  WHAT TO DO

  Students who develop fever greater than 100؛F or 37.8°C and are
experiencing influenza-like symptoms are urged to call the Student
Health Center of their school to determine if they require testing or
treatment for their illness.

  We will continue to monitor the situation and will update the Web
site as more information becomes available or in the event of any
significant changes impacting campuses communities.

   

  TRAVEL ALERT

  U.S. Government officials have issued an advisory saying that all
nonessential travel to Mexico should be avoided.
